Objective-C Programming Language is an advanced app with information needed to build OSX and iOS software. Objective-C Programming lets users write their own software using the “Source,” “Input,” and “Output” features that can be accessed at the bottom of the screen. Additionally, there is a “Reference” section that provides users with specific information about programming language, library resources, NSString, and math. This app is designed for users who already have working knowledge of software design and computer programming.

Instructional Ideas

  1. For advanced students who are building their own app, teachers can have students write the program in this app’s “input” section, and then test the program using the “output” section.
  2. Teachers can have students research a topic in the “Reference” section in this app, and then present the information they found by creating a video for it using the TouchCast app.
  3. Teachers can arrange their class into groups of three to five students. Each group can then be required to create a line or more of programming using the “input” and “output” features in this app. Once the programming performs a function, teachers can have students connect their iPad to a projector and present their work to the other groups.
