Animoto: An Easy-To-Use App for Creating Movies
Summary : The quickest video compilation tool out there!
Animoto Video Maker helps users create movies by accessing their photos and videos stored in their gallery. To make the movies, users must first tap the “Pen” button on the top right of the screen to add photos, text, music, and themes. As users select their content, Animoto converts them into slides. Once the slides are created, users can edit them and modify the order that they appear. To finalize the movie, Animoto renders a preview of the movie before publishing it. Once published, users can share their videos using email, Twitter, Facebook, a copy link option, or open the video to view it in their web browser.
- Teachers can instruct students to create movies featuring original video clips and photos to describe a vocabulary word, topic, concept, or phenomenon they are studying. Students can post their videos to the classroom website or course management system to share.
- Teachers can ask students to explain a process using Animoto. Students can use text, video, and photos to sequentially explain their process.
- Teachers can instruct students to explain a historical event using a video created with this app. Students can take pictures or use video to weave a documentary of the event. Text can be used to highlight important points and explain underlying relationships.
- After writing a research paper or short story, students can create a video with this app that complements the paper or story.
