Description: This app lesson will develop students’ understanding and knowledge of outer space.
Instructional Objective: Students will explore space by completing hands-on experiences, recording research, and creating a multimedia presentation from the viewpoint of an astronaut.
Step 1: Students will use Star Chart to explore the sky and pick a star, planet, moon, asteroid, or other celestial body they would like to investigate further.
Step 2: Students will search for episodes, images, and clips related to the space topic they selected from the prior step and learn more about it using both the Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey and NASA apps.
Step 3: Students will build a video slideshow presentation from the point of view of an astronaut on a mission exploring space using the Adobe Voice – Show Your Story app. In the presentation, students will explain the chosen space topic from step one and describe it using images and voiceovers.
