Summary : Create something NOW with Creatorverse!
Creatorverse provides users with an interactive workspace in which they can experiment with physics using simple machines and gravitational properties. In Creatorverse, users are able to place and connect lines, shapes, and ratchets in different arrangements and then tap the play button to see the results. Plus, users are able to modify colors of different objects, as well as gravitational properties, which impact the speed and direction of the objects placed in the workspace. Finally, Creatorverse contains an online cloud in which users can view and engage other users’ Creatorverse innovations and share their own.
Please note: Additional tools and objects are available in Creatorverse, but will require purchase.
Instructional Ideas
- Teachers can use Creatorverse to assign a specific learning task to students. For example, teachers can challenge students to draw a polygon and move it from the bottom left of the screen to the top right of the screen using different gravitational forces and objects. Following, students can be instructed to compose an explanation describing how they were able to successfully move the polygon.
- Teachers can instruct students to pick one Creatorverse example posted to the cloud and explain the physics used in the chosen example. Student explanations can take the form of a written document or a multimedia presentation using a pedagogical app such as ScreenChomp, 30Hands, or Haiku Deck.
- After an activity in which students study a physical property, teachers can instruct students to demonstrate that property in Creatorverse. After creating the demonstration, teachers can have students compose an explanation of how their demonstration does, in fact, exemplify that property.
