Instructional Ideas

  1. Teachers can have students practice tracing different letters, numbers, and words using this app. When students complete a tracing that is flawless, they can take a screen capture of it and email it to their teacher. Their teacher can then print it out or forward the email to the student’s parents.
  2. After becoming comfortable tracing cursive letters, numbers, and words using this app, teachers can have students practice writing those same characters on a piece of paper. This will help students transfer the skill.
  3. When students are practicing their writing, teachers can put them in pairs, and the pairs can consist of a student who is proficient in cursive writing with a student who is gaining proficiency. Together, the students can practice tracing, and the more knowledgeable student can support the developing student as they work through the tracings.
