Instructional Ideas
- Teachers can have students practice tracing different letters, numbers, and words using this app. When students complete a tracing that is flawless, they can take a screen capture of it and email it to their teacher. Their teacher can then print it out or forward the email to the student’s parents.
- After becoming comfortable tracing cursive letters, numbers, and words using this app, teachers can have students practice writing those same characters on a piece of paper. This will help students transfer the skill.
- When students are practicing their writing, teachers can put them in pairs, and the pairs can consist of a student who is proficient in cursive writing with a student who is gaining proficiency. Together, the students can practice tracing, and the more knowledgeable student can support the developing student as they work through the tracings.
