Daily Rubric lets users create rubrics and use them to grade assessments. To begin, users should click the “lined” button on the top left of the screen. Next, users can select the “Make Rubrics” option and select the “New Rubric” option, where they can name the rubric, and then select the grade level and add different learning outcomes to it. (When adding learning outcomes, teachers can select outcomes pre-programmed into this app or they can write their own.) At this point, users can share the rubric by exporting it over email. Once created, users can return to the “Make Rubrics” option to edit and delete their rubrics. Users can also tap the “Manage Classes” option, which lets them create classes, add students to the classes, and edit classes and students as needed. With the “Assessment” option, the rubrics can then be used to grade student work and record the results in the app.

Classroom Applications

  1. Teachers can use this app to create rubrics and share them via email with their students or post them to a class website. This way, students will be able to view the expectations for an upcoming assignment.
  2. Teachers can use this app to record student grades on an assignment that is evaluated using a rubric created in this app.
  3. After grading an assignment using a rubric created with this app, teachers can review the scores assigned with the rubric and make edits to the rubric in this app as needed.
