Doc Scan HD – Scanner to Scan PDF, Print, Fax, Email, and Upload to Cloud Storages

Doc Scan HD allows teachers to take pictures or import images with their iPads and save them as a JPEG or PDF file. Before saving the picture/image, Doc Scan HD lets users adjust its color, size, brightness, shape, and angle. Once satisfied with its appearance, users can save the image to a folder in Doc Scan HD. Once saved, users can email the picture/image, export it to another app, import it to a cloud, print it, or save it to their photo gallery.

Classroom Applications

1. With this app, teachers can easily import images and pictures as PDF or JPEG into their digital classroom. To do so, teachers need to take a picture or import an image into this app. Then, when teachers select the image/picture from their file in this app, they can select the “open in” option from the send feature, select their digital-classroom app (e.g., Edmodo or Schoology), and post it to their digital classroom. If teachers encounter challenges importing an image/picture this way, they can always save the image/picture to their photo gallery. Teachers will then be able to import it by opening their digital-classroom app, creating a new post, and selecting the image/picture as an attachment.
2. Teachers can use this app to prepare for a close read. To do so, teachers must first take a picture of a text-based document and save it as a PDF using this app. Next, they can email the PDF to their students as an attachment. Once their students receive the email, they can open the PDF in the Adobe Reader app. At this point, teachers can have students read, annotate, and discuss the text.
3. To celebrate exemplary student work, teachers can take a picture of the work using this app and then email the picture to the student’s parents or post it to a class website.
