Instructional Ideas
- During down time between activities, teachers can have students use this app. Teachers can require students to log their progress. In addition, teachers can have students write a short summary in their log that explains why each level was or was not challenging.
- Once students grasp the different programming commands used by this app, teachers can provide students with boxes, coins, balloons, string, and other materials needed to create a level that models the ones found in this app. Next, one student can volunteer to be the character, and the other students will use the program command to move the student through the level they created.
- Teachers can have a class competition using this app to see which student can complete the most levels in a week. Teachers can allow students class time to complete the levels. As they complete the levels, students will have to summarize in writing the way they moved their character through the level.
