Instructional Ideas
- When students come across a word they do not know when reading a text, they can search for the word in this app. Teachers can also require students to paraphrase the word’s definition and draw a new image that represents it. Students can use an Artwork Production app to complete this assignment.
- Teachers can present students a word from this app, and they can require students to write the word in a sentence. Students can write their sentences using an Office app.
- Teachers can use this app as a springboard for a vocabulary activity. For example, teachers can assign students a word that is in this app, and require them to locate the word in order to complete a Frayer box. With the Frayer box, students will place the word in the middle, and include antonyms, synonyms, a definition for the word, and use the word in a sentence. Students can create their Frayer box using an Artwork Production app to create the Frayer box activity.
