Google Newspaper Archives: A Website of Historical Records
Summary : Take a stroll down memory lane with this newspaper archive!
Google Newspaper Archives includes several hundred newspapers that are no longer in circulation. From the website, users can browse the newspapers by name, date, and amount of issues. When users find a newspaper of interest, they can click it to access its contents. Users can then browse the contents and when they come to an issue of interest, they can click the “View All” button and then select the exact issue they wish to view. To zoom in, users can click the “Magnifying Glass” button on the top of the screen. Lastly, if there is a specific topic users wish to explore, they can type the topic into the Google News search bar, and the website will automatically search all the newspapers included in this database for that topic. The results from that search will then be reported, and users can click them to view newspaper articles specifically about that topic.
