Grammar Up: Free Edition provides users with practice quizzes for a variety of grammatical topics that include: (1) Adjectives Word Choice (2) Causative Verbs, (3) Nouns Word Choice, and (4) Two-Word Verbs, among many others. To take a quiz, users must tap a topic and then tap the “Begin the Test” button. Users will then be asked 10 multiple-choice questions. After completing the questions, users are provided a quiz performance report that displays if they answered the questions correctly. On the report, users can tap a question and review their answer, and they are able to share the report over email, social media, or by saving it as an image.
- After teaching a grammar topic, teachers can have students complete a quiz. Students can then email their results to their teacher for grading.
- Before teaching a grammar lesson, teachers can use this app as a pre-assessment. To do so, teachers can assign students to complete a quiz and email them their results for homework. This information will allow teachers to modify their upcoming grammar lesson.
- Teachers can create a class challenge to see which student can be the first to complete all the grammar quizzes in this app with 100% accuracy.
- After becoming familiar with the grammar topics and the quiz format used in this app, teachers can assign students different grammar topics and have them create quizzes for their topic modeled after the ones in this app. The quizzes can be written in the UX Write, Documents Free, or the Hanx Writer apps. Quizzes can then be emailed to the teacher to ensure accuracy. The teacher can then upload them to a class website and require classmates to complete the quiz.
