Illustrate Your Story! – App Lesson

Description: This app lesson will develop literacy skills for elementary students.

Instructional Objective: Students will read a story and then demonstrate their understanding of the story by illustrating the story and explaining the plot and who, what, where, when, why, and how questions to their classmates.

Step 1: Students will pick a story they are not familiar with from the app Epic! Unlimited Books for Kids.

Step 2: Students will use the Draw – Formerly Known as iDraw app to draw scenes they pick from the book.

Step 3: Students will submit their drawings, descriptions of their illustrations, and plot overview to an Evernote notebook that can be shared with the class.
