Instructional Ideas

  1. In Science, students can use Inkflow to draw and illustrate various concepts. For example, Science students can draw and color parts of a plant, the water cycle, or parts of a cell. Or, Social Studies students can use Inkflow to create timelines. When doing so, students will be able to add text and images to chronologically display the order of significant events. Because items can be captured, moved, and resized, groups of students can collaborate on these projects and easily make changes.
  2. Students can use Inkflow for brainstorming, organizing, collecting information, and note taking. Outlines and graphic organizers are easy to create, and individual steps can be relocated as ideas are added or subtracted.
  3. Art teachers can replace sketchpads with Inkflow so students can practice drawing techniques, create cartoons, and/or write art terms and definitions.
  4. While reading, students can sketch what they visualize in their mind’s eye using Inkflow.  As more context clues are added, students can refine their image.
  5. For young children who are just learning to write, fine motor skills can be practiced by using their finger as the pencil to write letters and words in the Inkflow app. These notes can be easily saved as .pdf or jpeg. files and shared with parents via email.
