My Attendance Tracker: A Classroom Tool for All Teachers!

Summary : An Outside Resource for Taking Attendance

My Attendance Tracker is designed for teachers to record their students’ attendance and grades. To begin, teachers must register with the website and then complete a simple questionnaire to create their first class. After adding students during the setup process, teachers can click the “Home” button on the top left of the screen, and the website will show them their dashboard. To record attendance, teachers will need to click the “Take Attendance” button and that will open a new view. In it, teachers will need to select the class and date, and then enter if students were present, absent, or tardy. As they do, teachers will be able to view the corresponding data immediately.

Returning to the dashboard view, teachers can click the “Add/Edit Students” button to enroll more students in a class they created. Once a student is enrolled, teachers can add more information by clicking a student’s name and then entering contact information for the student’s parents/guardians, a password for the student, and uploading an avatar for the student. Once contact information for parents/guardians is entered, teachers can click the “Mail” icon under their profile picture and then click the “Compose Message” option to send them an email or text message. Finally, if teachers wish to view their students’ attendance over time, they can click the “Main Reports” button and choose the “General” option. They can then configure and run the type of report they wish and view it online.

Please Note: The basic version of My Attendance Tracker is free and users can upgrade to a premium account to unlock advanced features. Also, grading features are included in this website, but using those features falls outside the scope of this review.
