Preschool and Kindergarten Learning Games: An App for Early Learners
Summary : Support for Learning Letters and Shapes and Colors and More!
Preschool and Kindergarten Learning Games contains a dozen activities that support users’ basic information, language, and math. From the main menu, users tap the activity that they wish to complete. The app will then prompt students to identify an object or complete an action. To end the activity and return to the home screen, users must drag the “X” in the top right to the box on the left.
Please note: Only a limited amount of content can be accessed for free. Users will have to make in-app purchases to access additional content.
Instructional Ideas
- Teachers can have students complete the activities in this app independently. As they do so, teachers can make sweeps of the room to monitor students. As they make sweeps of the room, teachers can ask students to say all the names of the shapes, letters, or colors. Or, teachers can have students explain the activity that they are completing.
- After students gain proficiency with an activity, teachers can have students develop their handwriting by writing letters and/or drawing shapes.
- After students gain proficiency with an activity, teachers can have students color and cut out shapes. Next, teachers can have students identify different shapes by their color.
