Read and Write! – App Lesson

Description: This app lesson will develop elementary students’ reading and writing levels.

Instructional Objective: Students will recall the alphabet and spell basic words.

Step 1: Students will learn the alphabet in both lower and upper case, tracing letters and practicing their shapes in the My First Alphabet Phonics app.

Step 2: Students will learn to write words by selecting everyday objects in categories such as color, animals, etc. Students must correctly order letters to spell words, only knowing how many letters the words are using the Kid Learn to Spell app.

Step 3: Students will learn spell words randomly chosen to by the My First Wish Little Smart app and determine what the image is. In this app there are many letters, so it is more advanced than the previous and will progressively get more difficult as you move into the higher levels. Students will send screenshots of their achievement to their teacher.
