Description: This app lesson will develop elementary students’ knowledge of coins and money including value and addition/subtraction.
Instructional Objective: Students will gain an understanding of what different coins look like, each coin’s value, and how to add/subtract money in real-world situations.
Step 1: Students will use the Counting Coins app to learn to identify coins. They will learn what each coin looks like and the value for each.
Step 2: Students will use the Coin Math app to apply skills of adding/subtracting coins using real life problems.
Step 3: Students will use the IXL app to measure their knowledge of money. It will track their progress and allow them to see areas that need more review.
