Sign-Up Sheet: An App for Recording Contact Information
Summary : A Quick Way to Get and Store Information
Sign-Up Sheet creates spreadsheets of data that can be easily customized. When the app is launched, it presents boxes for users to enter information, and the preset boxes include name, email, and phone. Users must tap the “Add” button on the bottom of the screen after they entered their information so it is stored in the app. Users can then view the information entered into the app by tapping the “List Admin” button on the top right of the screen. If email addresses were entered, users can tap the “Email” button to send direct communications, or they can tap an entire entry to see the information appear on a digital card. Plus, users can modify, add, or delete the boxes by tapping the “Gear” button on the top left of the home screen. Here, users can customize the boxes, add their own logo, and enable password protection. When users return to the app’s home screen, they will see these changes.
- At the beginning of the school year, teachers can require students to enter information that includes their name, email address, and name(s) and contact information for their parent(s)/guardian(s). This information will allow teachers to quickly communicate with students and their parent(s)/guardian(s).
- At an open house, teachers can request parents/guardians to sign-in by completing an entry in this app.
- At the beginning of the school year or when project groups are made, teachers can have students create their own list using this app and ask fellow classmates to enter in their information. That way, students will have peers who they can contact if they missed a class or when collaborating on a project.
