Instructional Ideas

  1. After reading a text, teachers can have students create a drawing using this app that represents the text’s main idea. Teachers can have students insert a 140-character caption that explains the drawing’s meaning. When finished, students can post their work to a class website or email it to their teacher.
  2. When learning a new vocabulary term, teachers can have students create a drawing using this app that represents it. Students can include the word’s definition as a caption. When finished, students can post their work to a class website or email it to their teacher.
  3. When studying a specific artist, time period, or artistic style, teachers can have students experiment and model it using this app. When finished, students can post their work to a class website.
  4. Students can create a picture book using this app. To do so, students would have to develop a story and then use this app to create images for it. As they create images, students can save them to their gallery. Students can then import the images onto slides in the presentation app. In the presentation app, students can add text to the slides. That way, when they play the presentation, students should have a complete picture book.
