Storytelling with a Twist – App Lesson

Description: This app lesson will develop elementary students’ abilities to create a story (fiction or non-fiction), constructively criticize a classmate’s story, and create a book with illustrations for their story.

Instructional Objective: Students will learn how to write a cohesive story using an event sequence, transitional words, and imagery.

Step 1: Students will use the Mad Libs app to generate ideas for the own stories and see how creative you can be with different adjectives, verbs, etc.

Step 3: Students will use the Book Creator Free app to create a book with illustrations, images, sounds, etc. using the story they have written.
