Teacher’s Assistant: An App for Communication
Summary : Need Help Communicating with Parents?
Teacher’s Assistant is designed to document student behavior and communicate with parents. After launching this app, users must first tap the “Classes” tab and then the “+” button to create a class. Next, users must return to the home screen and tap the “Students” tab and the “+” button to add students to the class. (Students can either be added directly from the iPad’s saved contacts or entered manually.) When adding students, users must enter each student’s full name and select the class. Users have the option of entering in the contact information for the student’s parent and a picture of the student as well. Once classes and students are entered, users can track student behavior—either positive or negative behavior—by tapping the “Add Action to Many …” button. Here, users will be presented a form to complete that will document behavior. Once the form is completed, users can tap the “Students” button on the top right to assign the report to students. Users can then share the behavior form by returning to the home screen, tapping the “Students” button, selecting the student, tapping the “Communicate” button, tapping the “email” option, clicking the “Choose Actions” option, tapping the report they wish to share, tapping the “Continue” button, choosing the email contact, clicking the “Email” button, and then tapping the “Send” button.
Please note: Additional options are available with an in-app purchase that includes the “Email Blast” and “Randomizer” options.
