Instructional Ideas

  1. As a class competition, teachers can have students answer all the trivia questions in one quiz and see who gets the top score.
  2. Teachers can divide their class into teams and have a “Trivia” activity using this app. To do so, the teacher will connect the iPad to a projector and show all the teams one question. Each team will respond and teams must show their response to their teacher. (Responses can be written on a dry-erase board, piece of paper, or a drawing app). If the team answers correctly, a point is earned. If a team answers incorrectly, either a point is deducted or no points are offered.
  3. As a research activity, teachers can have students find sources that confirm the trivia fact presented by this app. To do so, teachers can project a question and have the class answer it. Next, student’s can search the Internet for sources that support (or challenge) a question’s correct answer.
  4. After students become familiar with the format of this app, they can create questions that model the ones used by this app. To do so, students would identify a valid source related to Thanksgiving (or another holiday/topic), read it, and then create multiple-choice questions related to it. Students can write their questions using an Office app and then send them to their teacher. The teacher can then load the questions in Quizzam! app and have students participate in a trivia activity.
