Instructional Ideas
- To support students who need assistance with writing, teachers can have them use this app to record them speaking their essay, journal entry, or other piece of writing. When finished speaking their writing assignment, students can save the text to their clipboard and then paste it into another Office app.
- To have students practice their elocution, teachers can give them tricky texts to read (e.g., tongue twisters and rhyming words) and have them read those texts into this app. As they do, the app will transcribe the spoken words into text, and students can see how accurately they spoke. (Please note, with this strategy, the app may have some impact in the clarity of the transcription.)
- Teachers can have students read text that is not grammatically correct into this app. Next, the app will convert the speech to text. Students can then copy the text and paste it into an Office app, where they can use the tools to edit the text so it reads grammatically.
