App Ed Review is a free searchable database of educational app reviews designed to support classroom teachers finding and using apps effectively in their teaching practice. Each app review provides robust, detailed information that supports teachers in how they can integrate the app appropriately and meaningfully in the classroom. Educators, ETV trainers recommend this site: www.appedreview.org.

App Ed Review was founded by Todd Cherner, Ph.D., and Corey Lee, Ph.D., both with Coastal Carolina University. Their excellent team and editorial board members, who are all state certified teachers and hold or are earning graduate degrees in education, are dedicated to producing and posting the highest quality cost-free education app reviews for PreK-12 teachers.

Each App Ed Review includes:description of app, classification of app based on its purpose, three or more ideas for how app could be used, a comprehensive app evaluation, target audience, subject areas where app can be used, and cost of the app.

Currently, the database contains approximately 300 app reviews in all subject areas: art, early literacy, ELA, foreign language, math, music, physical ed, science, social studies, and cross-curricular. Of these more than half are apps that educators may access free of charge. Plus, the site offers video tutorials for teachers to learn to search, review and more!
