Problem Statement: What is the difference between plant, animal, and bacteria cells?
Students write a hypothesis.
Step 1: Students will be introduced to cells and their functions by playing Cell Explorer: Animal Cell. There are different levels and objectives in this game, so students can work at their own pace. This game introduces students to what cells are and what parts and properties exist within cells.
Step 2: Students analyze animal, plant, and bacteria cells using HudsonAlpha iCell. Students will write down what each kind of cell contains and compare each type of cell using the visuals and information within the app.
Step 3: Students will further research the differences between cells using Science 360.
Step 4: Students will create a presentation of their findings starting with their hypothesis and what they learned and how they would refine their hypothesis using the Haiku Deck app.
Students will affirm their hypothesis or revise it and begin the cycle again.
