Doodle Reading – App Lesson

Description: This app lesson will develop ESL students’ reading proficiency.

Instructional Objective: Students will be able to read a short article, identify the words they do not understand, and correctly use them in their own sentences.

Step 1: Students will be given a search term to find a specific news article using the app Newsela. The app will give them an article based on their reading level. They will read the article once through.
