In a Land Far, Far Away – App Lesson

Description: This app lesson will develop students’ sense of developing well-written narratives.

Instructional Objective: Students will showcase their understanding of the writing process by creating an outline and narrative.

Step 1: Students will use the FarFaria Children’s Storybooks app to read an assigned, imaginative narrative. This will serve as the example for students.

Step 2: Students will use the Inkflow app to create a simple outline for their narrative.

Step 3: Students will use the Dictionary.com Dictionary & Thesaurus for iPad app to use higher-level vocabulary words and check their spelling.

Step 4: Students will write their draft and final copy in the Microsoft Word app and submit it to the teacher.
