Sentence Structure Cartoons – App Lesson

Description: This app lesson develop young students’ knowledge of sentence structure and organization of print.

Instructional Objective: Students will learn how to form sentences by identifying letters, sentence structure, and rules, demonstrating their understanding by creating a cartoon incorporating 4 parts of speech.

Step 1: Students will use the Sentence Builder app to learn basic nouns, verbs, and articles.

Step 2: The teacher will then instruct students to draw pictures that depict a noun, verb, adjective, and adverb in the Draw app and share each picture with a partner.

Step 3: Once students are familiarized with correct parts of speech, grammar, and sentence structure, they will create short cartoons with the Toontastic app incorporating their noun, verb, adjective, and adverb from the previous activity and share their cartoon with the class.
